I haven't read the manual yet, or figured out all the features, but I've already used it a couple of times and it's great! If you're looking for a more sophisticated point and shoot (because you don't want to mortgage your house for a DSLR), then I'd really recommend this one. Here's to better Sugarplum pictures!

Mama Got a New Camera
I finally did it. After complaining all the time that my pictures stink and that they're grainy and they're not the quality I wanted, I just bit the bullet and bought a new (to me) camera. It's a used one I got on Amazon. The seller had 100% feedback and a return policy so I figured it was a low risk situation and I got it for more than $100 less than what I would have paid new. It came quickly (within about 3 days), and was packed in the original packing with everything included.
I got a Nikon Coolpix L120. My sister-in-law has the same camera, and I used it to take pics of my new spring collection. You can see those pictures here. It's so much better than the old $40 point and shoot I've been using, and I know I'm going to get a lot of use out of it between business and taking pictures of the kiddos.

Google Searches
If you know me personally you know I Google absolutely everything. I have a question, Google. I have a symptom, Google. My kids are bleeding profusely, Google. I feel like if you could go back and look at all my Google searches you could accurately describe the timeline of my life. That's probably why investigators are always searching criminals's computers, so they can see what they've been up to via Google.
- When is constipation dangerous? (Isn't that lovely, just another awesome side effect of pregnancy).
- Nose spray addiction - There was a husband and wife debate that needed solving
- Flounce skirt tutorial
- Proverbs 15:1
- Blogger HTML - that one is a doozy, I was not cut out for computer code
- IRS Form 4852
- Eskimo - Rylea wanted to know what an Eskimo was so I googled some pictures for her to see
- How to add a paypal button to blogger
I honestly don't know what I would do without Google capabilities. I might have to have a comprehensive set of encyclopedias at home to consult daily. I taught myself how to sew and crochet (basic stuff) using Google, among a million other things.
What have you Googled lately??

Baby Shower Invites
My sister in law, Cali, has two kiddos. Jaelynn is a year older than Rylea, and Ayden is 3 weeks older than Dieter. It's so awesome that we live so close to them now because those 4 kids love to play together!
Cali brought her kiddos and her little sister, Kelsey, over last night for some dinner and some playtime, and Cali even helped me with some appliques. It's always so eventful when we get together, and to top it off, Kelsey is pregnant with her first baby! Her little girly is on the way, and I offered to Google some stuff with them and maybe come up with something simple for her baby shower invitations.
Kelsey has a mild obsession with elephants and "tribal print" (which is Kelsey code for chevron), so this is what we all came up with in one big group effort. I blocked out the phone number and address for privacy reasons.
I did her invites using a mixture of paint, iPiccy, and Picmonkey. I outlined those programs here in this blog post if you want to know more. Cali and Kelsey are going to upload these to snapfish and get them printed and pick up some cute green envelopes to match. We're praying for Kelsey and the arrival of precious baby Sophie!!

Coast Guard Duty and a Dress Sneak Peek
Sad sad day in Sugarplumland today. My sweet Mr. SPC is heading off to the Coast Guard for the next 9 weeks. We woke the kids up at 7 this morning to make the drive to the airport to drop him off for his morning flight. The kids usually don't get up until around 9 so getting them up at 7 meant we were met with a couple grumpy buns for a bit there. But, we made it there and said our goodbyes and we just made it back.
Being a military family is something special. It's really just amazing to see my husband accept his duties so readily, and even with the threat of a year long deployment someday in the future, he is still willing to lay his life down for the lives of many others. He serves us at home everyday, and serves his country at the same time. I just can't thank God enough for the man he made for me, and the man he has allowed me to fall in love with.
In just shy of 70 days we'll be going back to pick him up on his birthday. If all goes well, he'll be one rank higher in the USCG and he'll be one year older! In the mean time, we'll Skype a lot, pray for him a lot, and miss him a lot. I'll also be sewing a lot and trying to keep my mind and hands busy to pass the time quicker. I've currently got a spring dress in the works that I'll be offering very soon. It's out for photos now, and once I get those back and make sure I get a bunch of these sewn up, I'll make the listing live. For now, here is a tiny sneak peek to tide you over until I get the real pictures back.
